HDSRL 2003 race #2 - Ilkley
- Tuesday 6th May, Start 7.45pm
- All other details as in 2002
- Approx. 4.8 miles
- Single lap, nearly all road - 0.5 mile of vehicle track
- Parking, changing, showering, supper at Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, 5 minutes walk from
the Start/Finish
(NB, NOT Ben Rhydding Sports Club, as in previous years). So, you may need to allow another 5 minutes travel!
- Travel: Ilkley Tennis Club is down by the River Wharfe, on its South side. It is approached
from Stourton Road which is 1/2 mile along the A65 towards Skipton from Ilkley Town Centre
Park as directed by marshals or signs.
- The race will start and finish on the North side of Ilkley Bridge (the "Old Bridge", pedestrians only) -
there is alternative parking at both ends of the bridge.
- The planned course is essentially a reversal of the 2000 race (though clockwise and a little shorter) ...
Langbar Road, Nesfield Road, up Owler Park Road, (1 Mile), vehicle tracks to Myddleton Lodge, Slates Lane,
down Carters Lane, (3.5 Miles), along Denton Road back to Ilkley Bridge.
