- Parking: update 18 June please park in the very large car park
made available for runners at the far end of Bremner Street (LS21 1HE) (Bremner Street is opposite to Otley Rugby Club),
(as per the Otley 10 Mile race)
Please do not park at Otley RUFC (for Club Officials only) or adjacent to the race start on Gallows Hill just off A659 Pool Road for the safety of all involved.
- Course:
- Approx 5.8 miles
- Two laps
- Congregate before the race by 7.30pm at race HQ on the cricket pitch in front of the pavilion by the finish. Do not go to the start at Gallows Hill Car Park 800m away from the race HQ until lead there by race marshals and officials.
- Roadside footpath, road and trail.
The first and fourth miles (on the second lap) are along the same main road (A659 Pool Road) and all runners must remain on the left hand side of the road on the adjacent footpath at all times. The remainder of the route is on a minor road (anti-clockwise around Knotford Nook) and public footpath / trail around fields and nature reserve. There are some gates which will be marshaled but runners should take great care to negotiate their own safety through each gate. - Mostly level and all runners must pay attention for their own safety to any uneven surfaces, traffic and pedestrians.
- Finishes in front of the pavilion at Otley Cricket Club where the post race refreshments will be served.
There will also be excellent bar facilities for those wanting to satisfy their thirsts whilst supporting home their club mates and enjoying the splendid views.
