HDSRL 2001 Handicap race - Ripon
Details as at 7 July 2001
- Wednesday 18th July
- Handicap Starts from 7.30pm
- Venue: Ripon Cricket Club on Studley Road (B6265), where parking, changing and shower facilities are available.
- Handicap race
- The handicap race does not count towards the League competitions
- Handicap based on 2001 League results
- Handicap list available on the night
- Trophies for the first 3 eligible runners crossing the finish line
- Eligibility for trophies/prizes: runners must have completed at least 2 of the League's scoring races
- Prizes for the first 10 eligible runners sponsored by
UP & RUNNING
- Course: revised from previous years resulting from the closure of Studley Park due to Foot and Mouth restrictions
- 6.985km (!) single lap
- Start within the grounds of the Cricket Club, a short loop of the field leads onto the B6265
- Follow B6265 for approximately 1 mile before turning left into Studley Roger village
- Next a short stretch of gated public footpaths
- Then cross to the south west of Ripon where public road is followed for a further 1/2 mile
- Turn left at the Cathedral Choir School onto heath land. A large loop on footpath and grass track of approximately 1 1/2 miles ...
- turn then finish with the usual 800m sprint for the line!
