HDSRL 2006 Handicap race - Ripon

- The course is approx. 9.2 km and is a mixture of off road tracks and road running
- Course: There will be a small change to the start this year for safety reasons: starting on High Cleugh next to the
grassed area, onto the B6265 for 0.5 Km.
Left along public footpaths to Studley Roger village, climbing through Studley deer park before turning left to
Studley lake. Keep left at the lake and follow the track over the seven bridges out of the deer park until turned
right, climbing steeply through woodland and across farm land onto Whitcliffe Lane. After approx' 1.5 Km of public
road turn left at the Cathedral School onto heath land. A large loop on footpath and grass track of approx' 1.5 Km
terminates with the usual 800m sprint.
- Presentation and refreshments in the Cricket Pavillion.
- Handicap Race Prizes: shields to first 3 across the line (subject to having
run 2 other HDSRL 2006 races); and goody bags for first 20 or so from Up
and Running.
- Presentation of team and individual League prizes.
