NB The Great Yorkshire Show starts this same day: it's traditionally the busiest day of the Show and traffic may be heavier than usual on the roads around Harrogate. - NEW 8.1km course starting and finishing on Hell Wath
- Presentation and refreshments at Ripon Rugby Club, adjacent to the Cricket Club.
- Handicap Race Prizes: shields to first 3 across the line (subject to having run 2 other HDSRL 2009 races)
- Bottle of special Hambleton Ale to first 250 finishers
- Presentation of team and individual League prizes.
