2009 Events
The Grand Finale of the HDSRL Season was the Handicap Race. 172 runners ran,
with Jo Richardson's improving form giving her a good win and Gary Wilks and Steve Garlick
also picking up shields. Half of you beat Ian (which is about right, your handicap start time is based
on your performances relative to him!) and with most of you finishing in a 3-minute span!
Every runner (and the marshals!) was rewarded with a bottle of Hambleton Ale labelled "Runner's Reward".
The Handicap Race was followed by the Presentation of awards for teams and individuals in this year's League. Prizes were donated by Up & Running, with more bottles of Hambleton Ale
for the League winners presented by Carl Walsh from League sponsors The Divan Centre.
